13th Contemporary Chinese Book Club at the Imagery Chinese Film Week

#2 Round table discussion and opening of the photo exhibition of the Hungarian-Chinese Friendship Society. 

This year marks the second edition of the Imagery Chinese Film Week and Contemporary Chinese Book Club focusing on the relationship between Chinese film and literature. Su Tong, a writer visiting Hungary courtesy of the Contemporary Chinese Book Club, will be the guest of honour. 

The other guests of the book club are film expert Viktor Dudás, film aesthete Miranda Keller, and Viktóra Váradi, founder of Imázsia Chinese Film Week. Moderator: literary translator Klára Zombory, host of the Contemporary Chinese Book Club.

Su Tong is one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Chinese literature, and the author of the novel on which the film Powder is based, which will be screened after the book club in the Uránia cinema auditorium. The screening will be attended by the author, director Li Shaohong and cinematographer Zeng Nianping.
