Imázsia Filmclub will visit Szeged in 2025!

We are preparing a real film novelty and two outstanding films of this year's Imázsia Chinese Film Week for the Szeged audience. Tickets are available at the venue and on the website of the Szeged Belvárosi Cinema. Our co-organiser is the Chinese Cultural Centre of Budapest.

The Imagery Film Club has started!

On 21 October, we hosted the first screening of the Imagery Film Club in cooperation with the Budapest Chinese Cultural Centre, where the newly released film "Light as a Morning" was shown. Around 130 people attended the Hungarian premiere, and the film's emotional and humorous story was praised by both Hungarian and Chinese viewers. Image at the Changchun Film Festival

Imagery China Film Week has been invited to China's oldest film festival, the Changchun Film Festival, which is in its 20th edition this year. The founder of the film week, Viktória Váradi, gave a Chinese-language lecture on the past, present and possible future of Hungarian-Chinese film relations at one of the festival's forums. The venue was the large auditorium of Jilin Animation University.

Hungarian film at the Chanchun Film Festival

A Hungarian film was also screened at the Changchun Film Festival. Semmelweis was screened three times with Chinese subtitles as part of the Hungarian Film Showcase. Jilin Province TV station and several local media covered the event. The screening was also special because the Changchun Film Festival usually only shows Chinese films.

Visit to the Changchun International Film Festival

Dr. Viktória Váradi, the chief organizer of the Imagery Chinese Film Week, has been invited to the 20th Changchun International Film Festival, which will be held in Changchun, the capital of Jilin Province, from 23-28 August. The event is held every two years, making it the oldest film festival in China. Visit to the Shanghai International Film Festival

Dr. Viktória Váradi, the chief organizer of the Imagery China Film Week, was invited to the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival, where several of this year's guests of honour of the Imagery China Film Week were also present. The event, which runs from 13 to 22 July, is China's largest film festival. The visit was an opportunity to start brainstorming for next year's edition of the China Image Week.
